Experience of the temporal structure of time manifested by the sound of clock-ticking is usually associated with the progression of narrative into a story with the beginning and the end. Clock Face operates with precisely the opposite.

The video enwraps locations, characters and actions into a loop. The camera cuts between cityscape and rural landscape, showing snippets of everyday life. As if measuring the distance between protagonists, the camera slowly reveals the action, but never the faces. Between intervals of silence, a female voice reads numbers. Sixty-two, seven, ten, thirty-one, twelve…

The protagonists are mostly elderly men who play the lottery, without much interaction with one other. The camera focuses solely on the movement of bodies as if choreographed by the list of called numbers.
