Study of Focus addresses the issue of groundlessness in present times by looking into tapestry traditions and history textbooks of the former Yugoslavia. Both tapestry and history textbooks assume a variety of approaches in the observation, interpretation and appropriation of events. The work brings together two ways of scripting history by using weaving to reappropriate fragments of important past events. Ten tapestries remake fragments from different periods and with it different ideological framing of evens also revealing the imprints of its users, like ink blotches, tears or coffee stains. Here the parts of newspaper clippings or protest slogans, singular or multiple bodies, victory or defeat, enemy or ally are no longer distinguishable.
